Rotary's service to the community of Montgomery County encompasses a variety of special projects and programs. From kids to shrubs, Rotarians are making a difference.

Damascus Community Spelling Bee — Approximately 100 elementary and middle school students compete annually in a community-wide spelling bee designed to enhance self-confidence, strengthen educational processes and improve public speaking skills. 

"Four-Way Test" Speech Contest — A high-school level speech contest that addresses an aspect of Rotary’s “4-Way Test” is designed to enhance self-confidence and strengthen public speaking skills.  Local winners are eligible for advanced competition at the District Conference.

Damascus High School Interact Club — The Club sponsors a youth service club at the local high school to foster leadership and responsible citizenship and promote international understanding and peace.

Neill Davis Scholarship Award — A scholarship award established, in memory of a former Rotary Club of Damascus Rotarian, to recognize those students who best exemplify the ideals of Rotary International through their achievement of service hours.
